The Villa

Villa Zeni located down a cul-de-sac of Umalas village. The villa is modern Balinese style, open living areas with lockable air-conditioned bedrooms, and offers guests a really affordable villa experience. Villa Zeni is built on a 400 m2 plot. The walk to the front door from the parking area is beside a rice terrace on a partially asphalted track (25 meters long).

Once inside the traditional Kori doorway of the villa the first thing you see is the swimming pool which is tiled with natural stone. The east end of the pool has a bubbling Jacuzzi. All of this is surrounded by a carefully tended tropical garden. In the garden are two sun beds and a parasol. To the right of the swimming pool are the living areas and bedrooms.

Layout and Facilities

The main architectural feature of villa Zeni is its long, wide stylish terrace that runs the whole length of the villa. Western standard bedrooms and facilities include queen sized beds, outdoor cascade showers and corner baths. There is also satellite TV, iPod/Mp3 stereo player and partial kitchen with enough utensils to prepare decent meals.

The villas' layout has the kitchen centrally located with air-conditioned bedrooms either side. A cozy poolside lounge area takes up half of the terrace; two large benches fitted with soft mattresses and a selection of cushions face each other across a large Javanese teakwood coffee table. Located in front of the kitchen the fridge freezer is only a couple of steps away! This is also where you will discover the satellite TV.

On the east end of the terrace outside the first master suite, under one of the three fans, are two more comfy chairs and floor cushions, again with coffee table. This is a nice spot to sit with a drink and a good book and take in the garden and pool.

The opposite end of the terrace is the dining area which is furnished with a dining table and chairs. All of the terrace overlooks the swimming pool and garden. Behind this area is the second master suite.

Surrounding Area

Villa Zeni is a cozy haven which is well within walking distance to local restaurants across a 40 meter rice field path and the rest on a short unpaved track and asphalted road so flat shoes are a must. At night time it is best to take one of the torches. You are only 900 meters walk away from the beach at Batu Belig. For the less adventurous better to call a taxi.

The now famous KuDeTa restaurant and the restaurants and shops of downtown Seminyak are only a 10 minute taxi ride away. The Oberoi strip at Jl. Laksamana is host to an abundance of restaurants within a few minutes walk of each other where you will find a variety of foods ranging from Italian, Greek, Western and even Moroccan food complete with belly dancers!

Zeni is close to the action but conveniently tucked away from the bustling crowd and a cost effective solution for anyone wanting to experience the independence of staying in a villa on Bali.

Service

Zeni does not provide 5 star luxury with full butler service; these villas are available elsewhere on our website, however guests will need to allow a budget of USD750 per night or more for this level of satisfaction.

Happily villa Zeni is a cost effective solution for a comfortable stay in Bali, so if you are looking for a reasonable alternative to hotel accommodation then look no further.

There are several household staff that change bed linens, provide household cleaning. There is also a pool boy plus a gardener to ensure the villa remains tidy during your stay.

The rental fee also includes continental breakfasts consisting bread, jam, coffee or tea and fresh fruits.

Cook

Due to the close proximity of a variety of restaurants the villas does not provide a cook, however one can be arranged for an additional fee. Most of our guests prefer to take advantage of the takeaway and delivery services in the neighbourhood and have food and wine/beers delivered directly to the villa.

Rental Rates

Based on a maximum occupancy of four persons the rental fees are:

Low Season US$225.

High Season July, Aug, Sept, Xmas/New Year US$270.

Last Minute Discounts are subject to availability.

Discounts for stay of 1 month or longer.

A baby cot and/or highchair can be arranged at time of booking.

Airport transfers are included for all bookings of 7 nights or more. For less than 7 nights we charge Rp.150,000 one way. A comfortable air-conditioned car with English speaking driver during your stay can be arranged for an additional fee. Rental self drive is also an option but not recommended.
